About Us
We currently have a group of people, who help in the sacristy taking turns during the weekdays. for the weekends we have two people who cover the two Sunday Masses.
Main Responsibilities
To open the church and prepare it as necessary for the various services To support the altar servers in their preparation for the services To support the parish priest in ensuring that the services run smoothly and efficiently To leave the church tidy and to lock up after the services
Protection of Children & Vulnerable adults To familiarise themselves with National Safeguarding Policies. To refer any concerns about a child or vulnerable adult to the Safeguarding Representative in the Parish. To be willing to participate in basic child protection/safeguarding training.
Person Specification
The ability to relate with respect and ease to children and adults Commitment to the essential teachings of the Catholic Church and ethos of the parish. An understanding of the purpose and forms of the Church’s Liturgy and an openness to the diversity possible within the Liturgy. A willingness to give time to training of servers in a patient yet cheerful atmosphere.
