History and Background
We have a long tradition of this practical ministry to welcome people to our church; it became more defined following the COVID lockdown of 2020.
Aims and Objectives
This ministry provides a group of people to welcome, guide and support anyone who is attending a liturgical celebration.
Current Activities
Stewards prepare the church for Masses by ensuring that people are welcomed, offered newsletters and hymn sheets and guided to appropriate seating when needed. They also organize collections and the offertory. During Mass a headcount of those present is carried out. At the end of Mass, the stewards work together to ensure that the church is tidy and ready for the next liturgical celebration.
