Churches Together Forest Hill & Sydenham

We are affiliated to Churches Together in South London, and through them, with Churches Together in England and Churches Together in Britain and Ireland.

We have two main objectives:

  1. To seek a deepening of the communion with Christ and one another by worshipping, praying and reflecting together
  2. To fulfil our mission to proclaim the Gospel by common witness and service and by responding to the needs of the people living in our area and those in the wider world, especially those who experience poverty or injustice.

Our specific activities over recent years have included:

  • Providing a Christmas lunch for elderly, frail and disabled people who would otherwise be on their own
  • Supporting Christian Aid Week and the World Women’s Day of Prayer supporting (sometimes financially) local organisations such as the Lewisham Food Bank, Street Pastors, and Lewisham Churches for Asylum Seekers (LEWCAS)
