The Jubilee year 2025 “Pilgrims of Hope” is a precious opportunity to deepen one’s faith and rediscover Christian hope. On Saturday 3rd May our parish youth group (both the young people and the youth volunteers) went in pilgrimage to Worth Abbey, a Benedictine monastery near Crawley (in Surrey). This is aimed at actively involving young people in the Jubilee journey and to bring them together to moments of prayer and reflection on the theme of Hope.
This is a Jubilee that reminds us that young people and children are not only our future, but are also our present and it is now that we must take care of them. They are our hope; therefore, we hope to have a generation that is mature in all aspects of life.

We had a moment of prayer and reflection, a visit to the different parts of the Estate at Worth and a precious time of conversation with one of the monks about the monastery and the Benedictine Order.
A very special thank you to our youth workers/volunteers and the wonderful hospitality of Worth Abbey’s Hospitality Team.
