Phishing Email Alert

We have been alerted that phishing emails are currently targeting parishioners.  These emails arrive in personal inboxes and appear to be sent from a Parish Priest, but they are fraudulent.  Once you reply, the sender may ask you to purchase gift cards or transfer money.

Do not respond under any circumstances.

These emails are phishing attempts designed to trick recipients and may result in financial loss or other malicious outcomes.


What You Should Do:

  • ❌ Do not reply to the email.
  • Rat Do not click any links or download attachments.
  • 🚫 Report the email as phishing or spam to ictsupport@rcaos.org.uk
  • 🗑️ Delete it from your inbox.

  • Legitimate emails from parish priests will only come from @rcaos.org.uk addresses.
  • Parishioners should always check the sender’s email address, not just the name.
